Our lesson program offers private, semi-private, group and beginner lead-line lessons. Private lessons and semi-private lessons are given by Sally Doty. Group lessons are for beginner to intermediate riders and are in groups no larger than four. There will be at least one instructor for every two riders. Lead-line lessons are offered for our younger beginner riders, are 1/2 hour in length and are only one student at a time. They are designed as introductory instruction to prepare the young student for regular lessons and are given by advanced student instructors under Sally's supervision. |
| Sally has been a riding instructor for 10 years and has been certified by American Riding Instructors Association. Sally's experience is extensive as a trainer and competitor in many types of riding disciplines from Western, English and Speed events in 4H as a youth, to Hunter/Jumper, Dressage, and Eventing. She has Fox Hunted in Southern Pines NC and has ridden Warmbloods in Germany. She has trained with many outstanding instructors including most recently Peter Gray, Canadian Olympic Eventer, and Jean Thornton, Grand Prix Dressage Rider. |

We start all beginners with balanced seat riding so that students have the basic skills to progress to any type of riding they desire. We begin with basic riding skills and then progress toward dressage, and/or jumping (both stadium and cross country) as dictated by the students' desires and abilities. We have an excellent selection of lesson horses and ponies for use in our lesson program, and for lease. Also students may use their own mounts for lessons either as ship-in or as a boarder. |
| Lessons are paid in advance monthly before the first lesson of the month. Fall Lessons will begin onAugust 18th, on Monday through Thursday with times are as follows: Monday - 5-6pm Semi-Private --- 6-7pm Semi-Private Tuesday - 5-6pm Leadline --- 6-7pm Group Wednesday - 4-5 Semi-Private Thursday - 5-6 Semi-Private--- 6-7 Semi-Private Other times and days can be arranged and some Saturday's are also available. Lesson fees: Private lessons Monthly - $240.00(4 lessons @ $60each) Semi Private Monthly - $160.00(4 lessons @ $40each) Group Monthly - $140.00(4 lessons @ $35each) Lead-line Lessons Monthly - $80.00(4 lessons @ $20each) (months with five lesson days prorated accordingly) |
